Spring Graduation on the 22nd October 2021 will be cancelled
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 conditions and uncertainty around alert level changes, Ara Institute of Canterbury has made the difficult decision to cancel the Christchurch Spring Graduation Ceremony which was scheduled for 22nd October 2021.
All eligible graduands will be able to register to attend the Christchurch Autumn Graduation on 1st April 2022 at Christchurch Arena, pending appropriate COVID-19 Alert Levels at that time.
We’ve made this decision now to allow time for our graduands and guests to change travel plans.
- If you would like to attend the Autumn Graduation in April 2022 – please wait for Ara to get in touch with registration details. If you’ve booked regalia keep your booking (it will be transferred to April 2022).
- If you do not want to attend in Autumn Graduation in April 2022 – please let us know you’d like to graduate in absentia by emailing: email@example.com before 22nd December 2021. If you no longer require your regalia booking contact the GWC Regalia Hire at firstname.lastname@example.org, before 22nd December 2021, who will refund your order on your request. You are welcome to keep your regalia booking for private celebrations.
If you choose to get a regalia refund and then decide to attend the April 2022 Graduation, you will need to put in a new regalia hire request.
If you choose to hire regalia for a private celebration or photos, and then you register to also attend the Autumn Graduation in April 2022, you will need to apply for another regalia hire and this will be charged at the same rate.
As part of a new system, all graduands eligible for the cancelled Spring 2021 Graduation will be couriered their qualification (we are now starting this process).
