Credit Recognition
Translate your knowledge and skills from previous study into credits towards a new qualification.
Credit recognition will suit you if you’ve completed a course or qualification in the past and you’d like it used as credit towards a new Ara qualification.
Applying for credit recognition
To apply for credit recognition, you’ll need to:
- Complete the Ara Enrolment form (make sure you tick the credit recognition box in section 2 of the form)
- Complete the Credit Recognition form (a checklist is included on the form)
- Submit your application to the relevant department (eg Business or ICT)

Fees
Credit recognition applications cost $100 plus $100 per hour of required assessment time.
