Description

Analyse the role and scope of emergency nursing responsibilities related to assisting with life preserving procedures in trauma care including intubation and massive fluid resuscitation.

Critically reflect on anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology relating to common mechanisms of injury and the impact of trauma relating to multiple body systems.

Critically analyse and review the interprofessional team approach to systematic assessment and management of patients with specific orthopaedic, crush, spinal, and neurological injuries.

Critically analyse nursing responsibilities in caring for patients who have sustained injuries or major burns including management modalities for specific patient groups (paediatric, elderly and pregnant patients).
