Body Composition Test

Body Composition Tests are an effective way to assess what you’re made of on the inside, and to gauge if you’re on track with your fitness and health goals.

Our new Accuniq BC720 gives in depth analysis on:

  • Body composition (body water, body fat, lean body mass)
  • Obesity analysis (BMI, body fat percentage)
  • Abdominal obesity analysis (waist to hip ratio, visceral and subcutaneous fat mass)
  • Segmental muscle and fat mass assessment
  • Biological age
  • Body type
  • Basal metabolic rate (energy used to support basic physiological functions)
  • Total energy expenditure (amount of energy needed per day to support basic metabolism and activity)
  • Tracking history graph of body composition results

To ensure the results of the scan are accurate, please follow these guidelines as best you can:
  1. Complete the pre-questionnaire (link provided in the appointment confirmation email) to provide you with the best possible service and expertise.
  2. Perform the test each time under the same conditions, temperature, posture, etc.
  3. To ensure the most accurate results, testing should be done early morning.
  4. Do not exercise or perform any physical tasks before testing, this will result in a temporary change in body composition.
  5. Avoid eating before a measurement, wait 2 hours for digestion.
  6. Do not take a bath or shower prior to measurement. Perspiring (sweating) that occurs also results in a temporary change in body composition.
  7. Perform the measurement after urination or excretion, if possible. Residues inside the human body are interpreted as fat mass.
  8. Bare feet are required to perform the test.
