Safety and Wellbeing Reporting

SafePlace is Ara’s safety, health and wellbeing management system. All staff and students are responsible for reporting hazards that have caused, or could cause, injury, illness, or harm, as well as any accidents, injuries, incidents, or near misses.

Reports should be completed as soon as possible and no later than 48 hours after an incident or near miss involving Ara staff, students, visitors, or contractors

If you are an Ara staff member or student, please complete a report through SafePlace. 

If you are a visitor or contractor, please engage with your Ara contact who supported your visit on site. Any serious injuries or incidents, please advise the Associate Director Safety, Health and Wellbeing immediately.

Reports submitted through the system are not monitored in real time. A reminder that in emergencies or situations requiring immediate response, call 111 and contact Ara security. Please email all reporting requests or questions to safeplace.queries@ara.ac.nz
